| Handcrafted Natural Soaps & Bath Products SOAPS All of the soaps of Soaps Of Mother Earth are handmade in small batches from natural vegetable products and, mainly, pure essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils.** Essential oils are pure plant products - made from the leaves, stems, flowers, etc., of particular plants. - and contain no synthetic ingredients. Essential oils are more expensive than synthetic fragrance oils used in other soaps, but are much better for your skin and the environment. A little goes a long way. The soaps are made from a combination of fats and oils, scented with essential oils, sometimes colored with various ingredients including plant matter, clays, minerals, pigment, etc. Some of the soaps contain natural exfoliants such as oatmeal, lavender seeds, flax seeds, juniper berry meal, and almond meal, to name a few. The soaps are cured or hardened for weeks or months, then hand-wrapped for your use. The vast majority of the soaps at Soaps Of Mother Earth are particularly moisturizing because they are “superfatted.” Superfatting the soap allows for “extra” moisturizing oils that leave your skin feeling smooth and silky but not oily. Some customers have told us they no longer need to use an additional moisturizer after bathing with Soaps Of Mother Earth soap. You will love these soaps! **Please note: Fragrance oils are used only when essential oils are no longer available for purchase or are prohibitively expensive. All soaps are labeled and include the soap's ingredients and whether essential oils or fragrance oils are used. LOTIONS, CREAMS and BODY BUTTERS Soaps of Mother Earth has a wide variety of lotions and body butters. These products are also made with pure essential oils. Try some of our Oregon "Buena Vista" or "Sachet" Lavender Lotion made with a special Oregon lavender hybrid from Lavender Lake Farms. FACIAL and BODY OILS Soaps Of The Earth also makes pure vegetable body and facial oils to order. The oils contain a natural preservative, a combination of vegetable oils, and pure essential oils (organic oils available). The facial oils are sold in 1 oz. amber glass bottles with a dropper top. The body oils are sold in 8 oz. glass or plastic bottles. Please inquire if you are interested. The oils are not yet pictured on the website. BATH SALTS Soaps Of Mother Earth bath salts are made with various types of sea salts, including Dead Sea salts, California sea salts, and Hawaiian red sea salts (naturally red from volcanic clay). The bath salts can simply be added to a warm bath. Salts release toxins from the body. Another way to enjoy the salts is to combine one of the sea salt (fine) recipes with a soothing vegetable oil (all oils are available from Soaps Of Mother Earth) and rub the salt/oil combination over the body while standing in the tub (stopper in!). After the refreshing, exfoliating scrub, run hot water in the tub for a moisturizing and relaxing soak. |
